SYNOPSIS

Lafayette is a quite affluent community in northern California where the schools are great, the property values are sky-high, and the quality of life appears unsurpassed – yet looks can be deceiving…

Bobby (Ivan Sergei) “The Break-Up”, works at one of the pubs in town. Having dropped out of school, he still struggles to find his place in the world. One day he closes bar and heads home to face another night wondering why his wife, Linda, (actress to be named) is again out with “friends”. Then tragedy strikes-that night she is killed in a car accident. The next morning a sheriff’s deputy informs Bobby of his loss. Jack, (Michael Worth) “Our Father”, Bobby’s older brother, seemingly has it all. He runs a busy public relations firm and is married to a loyal and loving wife (Joyce), (actress to be determined). They have an adorable young daughter (Robin). Although Jack should be content, he seems restless… during Linda’s memorial at the family home, we learn about Bobby and Linda’s troubled marriage and Bobby’s addiction to drugs. The only one who seems to understand him is his brother’s wife, Joyce. She cares deeply for her brother-in-law and he in turn appreciates her nurturing presence- (a quality that was not innate in his late wife). Bobby soon determines that it is time to put Linda’s affairs in order. Cleaning out her desk at her office, he finds a medical form amongst her personal items. He discovers that Linda recently had had an abortion. Bobby’s world is turned upside down. His journey accelerates from here, fueled by the troubling fact that he knows he is not the father…
